Ana Vicente: Visual Artist and lecturer, living and working in London.

View my complete profile

I am a Portuguese-born, London-based artist and lecturer. My work oscilates between drawing, installation, performance and book work. Using waste materials and found objects alongside stationery and conventional paint and paper, my work welcomes chance and explores the visual representations of randomness, liberation, intuition, associations and points of intersection.

W. Burroughs (1914-1997) by Annie Leibovitz- Shut the system down and opt for utter silence.

"The right to create, without apology, from a stance beyond gender or social definition, but not beyond the responsibility to create something of worth"- Patti Smith (1946 - ), singer-songwriter, poet, visual artist

My holy of holies is the human body, health, intelligence, talent, inspiration, love and absolute freedom- freedom from violence and falsehood no matter how the last two manifest themselves. Anton Chekhov, Writer and physician (29 January 1860 – 15 July 1904)
